All Will Bow

Genesis 41:17-42:17

Matthew 13:24-46

Psalm 18:1-15

Proverbs 4:1-6

"The kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field." Matthew 13:44

The other day I realized something about this fear I have that if I shared the gospel people would choose not to believe in God still. The fear that I would be seen as weird or silly or stupid to believe in God. The fear that sharing God would actually turn people off from God.

In the Bible it says that every knee will bow. That means that eventually every single person is going to see that God is God. When I worry about whether or not someone will believe in God I make God equivalent to something like Pixar.

Maybe I went to see a Pixar movie in the theatre and I said to everyone I know, "this movie is so great! It will make you cry, laugh, you'll want to watch it over and over!" And then some of them went to go see it but came back and they didn't like it. I would probably think they are strange but in the end I would have to say, "Well, I guess Pixar just isn't their taste."

But God is not an issue of a person's taste. God is God. And while people may still try to ignore God in this point in time someday they will see how real God really is. And they will worship.

He is reality, He is the One thing.

When we stumble upon the truth it is the wise thing to do the reckless thing and GIVE EVERYTHING AWAY to have it. God is worth it every single thing we have. And while it seems reckless to give everything up, we do it because of how reckless God's love is. What a great joy to find such a love.
