Terrifying Humility

When Jesus talks about End Times I get really excited but also really concerned. I want to say that I am humbled by the topic, and I am, but honestly my humility looks more like fear than true and good humility.

I don't even really know how to talk about it...how can I? So much of it is ambiguous and beyond our understanding.

As much as I'd like to come up with something meaty and thoughtful to say...words escape me and I am left to give you two bullet point thoughts:

Lots of people, apparently, are going to try and convince us that Jesus has come back when He hasn't. But let us remember this: when Jesus comes back we're going to know it. All will know it. It will not have to be narrated for you, no one's going to have to convince you, Jesus will come back loud and clear.
Lord, prepare me now. Prepare me to recognize You. Prepare me to stay faithful to You no matter what trials or persecution may come my way. Prepare me with faith steady and firm like that. No matter what comes my way...I don't want to forget who You are: You are bigger, You are better, You are everything.
